Delhi, where your journey begins

Day 1
Arrive in Delhi (stay at The Imperial, Delhi)
Your luxury Golden Triangle tour begins when you arrive in Delhi. A member of our team will welcome you at the airport and take you to The Imperial hotel. This landmark hotel is located in New Delhi and reflects the elegance of the British Raj. Spend the afternoon relaxing after your journey. If you arrive early and want to explore, just let us know. Your driver is always available, and you can reach us easily on Whatsapp.

Day 2
In Delhi
Today, enjoy a guided tour of Old and New Delhi. Highlights include: the Jama Masjid and the lively markets of Old Delhi, India Gate, the Sikh temple, Humayun’s Tomb, and Qutab Minar. We love that the activity in the markets (watch out for cows and motorbikes!), and peeking into the kitchens at the Sikh temple (where thousands of meals are prepared and served each day, free), brings variety to the day as opposed to focusing solely on architecture. You’ll find such cultural experiences peppered naturally through all our tours to ensure you’re experiencing India at her fullest. That being said, sightseeing is entirely flexible – you’re welcome to make adjustments to best suit your interests, either during the planning stages or on the day itself.

After exploring Delhi for the day, return to The Imperial. If you’d like to dine out this evening, we suggest Indian Accent or Bukhara; two of Delhi’s top restaurants. Reservations are required, and this is just one example of the finer details we’ll take care of when you entrust us with your special trip. Lunch recommendations are best left open and breezy, so your guide can make a suggestion based on wherever you are in the city at that particular time. Each of our guests are unique in when they’d like to start for the day, how long they wish to spend exploring a particular place of interest, and if/when they’d like to have lunch: our flexible approach takes this all into consideration.


Day 3
Delhi to Agra (stay at the Tajview, Agra)
This morning, drive to Agra to experience the Taj Mahal, a highlight of any luxury Golden Triangle tour. Sunset is a great time to visit because the marble glows with beautiful colours. Your room at the Tajview hotel has a nice view of the monument, allowing you to see the Taj in the moonlight or soft pink at dawn. For an extra special stay, consider upgrading to The Oberoi Amarvilas, where some rooms have a balcony that looks out at the Taj Mahal.

Day 4
Agra to Jaipur, via Fatehpur Sikri or Abhaneri (stay at Samode Haveli, Jaipur)
There’s an optional return to the Taj Mahal at sunrise this morning. After breakfast, explore nearby Fatehpur Sikri before heading to Jaipur. A fascinating place to stop and stretch your legs along the way is the Chand Baori stepwell – one of India’s oldest and largest. When you arrive in Jaipur, check in to the charming Samode Haveli for a three-night stay. This haveli, over 175 years old, offers a great heritage experience in the heart of the Pink City. Or for something truly exceptional, consider upgrading to the Taj Rambagh Palace, a former Indian palace with lovely settings. The Oberoi Rajvilas and Rajmahal Palace are stunning options, too.

Day 5
In Jaipur
Start your morning with a burst of colour on our Jaipur morning market walk. From the fragrant flower market to the bustling vegetable and milk markets; experience India in all its sensory glory. A cup of chai (spiced tea) from a popular local stall, accompanied by a samosa, is the perfect way to round things off! After returning to your hotel for breakfast and a little rest, reunite with your guide to explore Jaipur’s old walled area. Visit the City Palace and its little-known private rooms, the Jantar Mantar observatory, and the beautiful Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Bar Palladio is a lovely spot for post-sightseeing cocktails.


Day 6
In Jaipur
On Day 6 of your luxury Golden Triangle tour, you’ll visit the splendid, 16th-century Amber Fort for a guided tour. After, there’ll be a few hours to spend as you wish; whether that be relaxing back at Samode Haveli, or doing a spot of shopping in Jaipur. The city is bursting with treasures from lovely local textiles to unique wooden crafts and semi-precious jewellery, for which Jaipur is best known. Later, end the day on a very special note by spending the evening with Lakshmi and Rangmala, the two gorgeous elephants at Dera Amer. Here, you can help feed and bathe these gentle beauties, learn all about them, and take a relaxing walk together through the forest at sunset. Tip: if this doesn’t sound like your thing, we can always replace it with a private cooking class or a special dinner. Everything is entirely flexible and will be tailored from scratch to suit you perfectly.

Day 7
Jaipur back to Delhi (stay at the Trident, Gurgaon)
The morning is free in Jaipur to spend as you wish. Whether that be lazing by the pool with a good book, or experiencing more of Jaipur. If you’re feeling creative, a block-printing workshop in the nearby village of Bagru is insightful and offers the opportunity to learn one of the region’s age-old crafts, passed down through the Chippa family for generations. Whenever you’re ready, head back to Delhi for a last night. We suggest the Trident, Gurgaon. While it may not have much character, it’s easy to reach and just a fifteen-minute drive from the airport—great for early morning flights, and avoiding Delhi traffic! On the other hand, if you’re taking an overnight flight, we can chauffeur you directly to Delhi Airport instead. Or, if your schedule permits, a night or two at Samode Palace is a relaxing way to round off your time in India. This beautiful palace, over 150 years old, is on the rural outskirts of Jaipur on you way back to Delhi. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes, its a lovely opportunity to experience the unhurried way of life in India’s villages; a stark contrast to the bustle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur!

Day 8
Depart from Delhi
This morning, we’ll drive you back to Delhi Airport in time for your flight. Should you need, we’ll be happy to assist you with arranging a late check-out. Or, further touring opportunities.

Our tours include hotels with breakfast, a private car with a driver, knowledgeable guides, entrance tickets, and activities. We offer an easy luxury Golden Triangle tour experience. You can focus on enjoying the sights and your lovely hotels! This indicative cost is per person. It is based on a couple travelling between October 2026 and March 2027, sharing a double or twin room. The price is less during the off season from April to September. It’s more during Christmas and New Year.
