Horn-tooting aside, here’s 16 reasons to book with Indian Excursions Co:
1. We specialise in Rajasthan
Rather than selling the entire subcontinent, Indian Excursions Co specialise in the state of Rajasthan and its environs. We know Rajasthan; it’s what we do, and we love nothing more than sharing our wealth of first-hand experience.
2. We only do bespoke
When we say tailor-made, we mean it. All our tours are carefully crafted to your taste and interests, and no two are ever quite alike. We welcome you to ask for tweaks and adjustments until everything’s just right. We don’t mind how long it takes.

All our tours are tailor-made.
3. We have first-hand experience
We don’t recommend a destination or a hotel without having seen it ourselves – it’s as simple as that. India is a vast place, and we’d much rather do justice to a specific area well than sell the entire subcontinent mediocrely. By regularly experiencing (and re-experiencing) all the places, accommodations and excursions we offer, we leave nothing to chance and bring you the benefit of expert advice. We know, for example, that the most expensive room isn’t always the best room and it’s these small touches that make Indian Excursions Co’s trips so unforgettable.
4. We listen while offering expert advice
While each of our guests is different, we know and understand what makes a great trip in this part of the world. From authentic cultural experiences to flexible sightseeing, Indian Excursions Co listens carefully to what you like, what you don’t like, and what you’re looking to experience.

5. We’re full of ideas
Oh yes. We love anything off-piste. While the must-sees are must-sees for a reason, we encourage you to get off the beaten track too and experience Rajasthan’s hidden gems. We help you discover parts of India that you might not have otherwise known about. We make your special occasions all the more special and have lots of tricks up our sleeves!
6. We’re patient
Whether you want to change your hotel, take a different flight, or add a destination: it’s fine by us! No request is too big or too small. We’re keen to ensure every detail is just as you’d like it to be, and will do everything we can to make that happen.

7. We’re well-connected
By specialising in private, tailor-made tours of Rajasthan for the past decade, and having been in the industry even longer, we’ve built up quite the network. From a room upgrade to the very best guides and drivers; we treasure the relationships we’ve built over time, and you’re the beneficiary.

8. We’re obsessed with the finer details
When you entrust your travel arrangements with Indian Excursions Co, we don’t take that lightly. Between booking and arriving, we’ll be carefully checking and rechecking your arrangements regularly to ensure everything is perfect and seamless. If your internal flight has been pre or postponed, we’ll know about it. If the hotel hasn’t acknowledged your special requests, we’ll remind them until they do. We leave no stone unturned to ensure your journey is nothing less than fabulous. We go far beyond many of our competitors in this regard, and – in our eyes – it’s what sets up apart. It means we have to limit ourselves to the number of guests we’re able to assist at any one time, but to us, it’s always quality over quantity.
9. We see Rajasthan through the eyes of a local, as well as a Westerner
Our co-founders, Shiv and Maddie, are from Rajasthan and the UK respectively. We feel (and have often been told by our customers) this affords us a unique bridging between the two cultures. We’re able to understand the needs and wants of our international guests while being intimately familiar with local customs and traditions. Having once been a first-time visitor to Rajasthan herself, Maddie appreciates what makes this colourful corner of the globe so alluring. Likewise, she understands the challenges of exploring India and can offer expert advice. Shiv, on the other hand, is a local, so we have our finger on the pulse.

We see Rajasthan uniquely, through the eyes of a local as well as a visitor.
10. We’re responsible
We owe a lot to Rajasthan, and it’s incredible culture, history and sights, and therefore feel it’s our responsibility to leave a positive impact on the area. Through training, careful supplier selection, and supporting sustainable tourism and charitable projects, we are committed to working in a socially and environmentally-conscious way.
11. We’re personalised
Personalised service is what it’s all about for us. We’ve chosen to remain small intentionally so we can get to know each of our guests and enjoy the process as we go along. The little details matter to us, and nothing slips through the net; from dietary requirements to special occasions to likes and dislikes. Having dabbled in expansion in the past, it’s crystal clear to us that being owner-run is the key to our success. Therefore, it’ll always be Shiv and Maddie who’re personally overseeing every detail of your trip. Nothing is more important to them than you having the best possible experience.
12. We’re passionate about Rajasthan
We ❤️️ the people of Rajasthan, the culture, the history, the architecture… the food! It’s part of the reason we’ve chosen to specialise in this specific section of India rather than sell the whole country like most others. We’ve been exploring Rajasthan for a decade yet there’s still so much for us to see and learn about this fascinating place. We’re passionate about Rajasthan, and this will become clear as soon as you start chatting with us!

13. We’ve got your back
While you’re here in India, we are only a quick call away on the complimentary phone we provide (or WhatsApp, if you prefer) for any assistance. Day or night, we’re here for you. Whether you’d like a restaurant recommendation or to adjust your starting time for the following day; no request is too big or too small.
Like you, we know the most important thing about any organisation is how they deal with problems. While it’s our goal to ensure your arrangements are entirely seamless, we know that things can go wrong on occasion and if they do we are in your corner to put things right as soon as possible. Let’s say your internal flight is cancelled, or you’re not entirely satisfied with the room you’ve been allocated… rest assured, we’re on it, always.
14. We’re flexible
We fully understand the need for flexibility at the moment (COVID-19) and offer our full support in postponing your arrangements if needs be. You can read more about our approach to the coronavirus by clicking here. When you’re ready to start chatting about travel again, we’re ready to listen.
15. We’re full of surprises
Which we wouldn’t dream of spoiling here so you’ll just have to wait and see!
16. We have got a proven track record
Don’t just take our word for it…
